<p>Lets face it, most of us from time to time feel that life is just one big struggle with a series of never ending problems. Yet the truth is that life does not have to be that way. In fact, it can be just the opposite.</p>
<p>Life is not about struggle and overcoming problems. Life is about pursuing and creating what we truly desire in an easy, stress-free manner.</p>
<p>Is there something in your life that you want, but it seems to elude you?</p>
<p>Why is it such a struggle to create the things we want?</p>
<p>In short, if you don&#8217;t have what you want (you name it) your subconscious holds some contradictory intentions for you.</p>
<p>To put it simply, you want something and it doesn’t.</p>
<p>For example you may say, “<strong>I want more money.”</strong>, but your dominant subconscious belief may be, <strong>“Earning the amount of money I want is very difficult”.</strong></p>
<p>Notice anything different about these two statements?</p>
<p>They are going in different directions. So after years of frustrating and contradictory messages you still don&#8217;t have what you want.</p>
<p>What is really happening is that your conscious and subconscious are almost always in conflict. You <span style="text-decoration: underline;">consciously</span> say, <strong>&#8220;I want more money&#8221;</strong> and then after listening, your <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">subconscious</span></strong> says, <strong>&#8220;No matter what you do, it is too difficult to create that amount of money&#8221;</strong>. As a result there is no agreement between your conscious and subconscious. When this happens they cancel each other out and give up on assisting you to create what you would like to have in your life.</p>
<p>What is critical to understand is the competition, conflicting agendas, and disharmony between your conscious and subconscious is keeping what you from having what you desire.</p>
<p>Why?</p>
<p>Because when your conscious and subconscious are not in agreement they produce <strong><em>negative emotion</em></strong>. And it is that negative emotion or <strong>negative</strong> <strong>energy</strong> that attracts the things you don’t want.</p>

<p>Let me explain to you what is really happening.</p>
<p>Every thought is received by the brain, which is the organ of the conscious mind. It is here that it is subjected to our power of reasoning. When the conscious or objective mind has been satisfied that the thought is true, it is sent to the subconscious mind to be brought into the world of reality through quantum physics or the law of attraction.</p>
<p>It is no longer susceptible to any argument whatsoever. The subconscious mind cannot argue. It only acts. It accepts the conclusions of the conscious mind as final. This is the point at which the uncreated becomes the created, the universal becomes individualized, and the invisible becomes visible.</p>
<p>Put simply, every thought that you think has its own <strong>energetic vibrational frequency.</strong> That thought is impressed into your subconscious mind. Then, through the Law of Attraction it will energetically attract another person, place, thing or circumstance that has a vibrational match or is vibrating at the same frequency.</p>
<p>Your subconscious mind cooperates complete with your conscious mind when it <strong><em>understands</em></strong><em> </em>and <strong><em>agrees</em></strong> with what you <strong>consciously</strong> want. In other words, when you conscious and subconscious are not in conflict.</p>
<p>Notice when you are feeling any negative emotion or conflict. That is you “inner guidance system” telling you that you are not in harmony with your desire. This is your first clue.</p>
<p>So, if you do nothing else, remember that you MUST correct and STOP the negative attraction IN THE MOMENT IT HAPPEN if you are serious about getting rid of the “Saboteur Within.” That will clear the way for your conscious and subconscious to work in harmony to bring your desire.</p>

Here in Part 2 well discuss five more strategies that will boost your ability to bring into reality the things you long for in life.</p>
<h3><strong>Be patient but take action</strong></h3>
<p>Let me enlighten you here for a minute. When you are learning how to manifest, your desires are not just going to fall out of the sky above and land right on your doorstep. Sometimes it might seem this way if you are totally detached from the outcome and are focused entirely on the end result. More often than not, it takes a little while for what you want to manifest to appear, and again that is based on the strength of your belief about that particular want.</p>
<p>You can definitely count on one thing though; it requires a great amount of faith and patience plus a lot of action on your part. The key is to put some action behind that intention, you cannot just sit back and wait for what you want to manifest without doing anything on your part. Good things come to those who wait <em>plus</em> put forth action.</p>
<h3><strong>Help yourself first</strong></h3>
<p>I always believed in the saying &#8220;God helps those who help themselves&#8221;. This is the absolute truth my friends. I mean, wouldn’t you want to at least see some effort out of a friend who has asked you for help.</p>
<p>Say, for instance, you have a friend who has asked you to “help” them move. What would you do if your friend just sat back and expected you to do all of the work? I don’t know about you but I would for sure not be happy about it.</p>
<p>So when asking your Higher Power for a little help, be sure to put forth the effort yourself. Ask yourself what you can do today that will bring you one step closer to your dreams and make them a reality. Don’t just sit there and expect things to magically happen; you will be waiting a lifetime.</p>
<h3><strong>Follow your intuition</strong></h3>
<p>When you are learning how to manifest, it is essential that you listen to your intuition and follow your instincts. Your intuition is that voice inside that you know you should listen to but often don’t. I know the feeling of having to tell myself “I know I should have gone with my gut feeling.” Your intuition is always right. Follow your intuition and it will lead you in the right direction towards your dreams. You will be led to the right people and to the right places at the right times; always.</p>
<h3><strong>Your goals and Life purpose must be aligned</strong></h3>
<p>Success in learning how to manifest often depends on whether or not what you are trying to manifest is in tune with your life&#8217;s purpose. Everything has to be congruent; if it is not then you will have an uphill struggle. Trying to manifest something that is not in tune with your Life’s purpose will only cause a great deal of resistance and leave you frustrated.</p>
<p>Another key point when learning how to manifest is if your purpose to manifest is for selfish needs to fulfill the ego then you will not likely get too far. It works best when you manifest for the highest good of everyone involved, selflessly, and from your Higher Self.</p>
<h3><strong>Focus on the end result</strong></h3>
<p>Probably one of the most important secrets to manifesting is to put all your attention into and focus on the end result. Another way to describe this is to think form the end. This is the “act as if” part that is so powerful.  Act “as if” you already have in your possession the things that you desire or that you are the person you want to be.</p>
<p>Feel what it is like to live from that particular point in time. Your subconscious can’t tell the difference between what is actually happening and what are just thoughts.</p>
<p>When focusing on the end result, do not worry about how it is going to happen. Leave that up to the Universe to decide. Sometimes there are better ways to manifest something than we may think and this is usually the case.</p>
<p>If you look back to the times when you attracted great things into your life, didn’t they just seem to happen unexpectedly? And I bet it didn’t happen the way you thought it would. It was probably in a way that was even better.</p>
<p>So there you have it; nine simple strategies to improve your manifesting power. Implement these key ideas and watch your power to manifest your greatest desires improve tremendously!</p>

<p>Did you ever wonder how to manifest your greatest desires into reality? Quite simply, the answer to manifesting anything you desire is to properly apply the Law of Attraction. Through the Law of Attraction, your perception of the universe and everything in it is what actually creates your reality. Through understanding how your beliefs about your world shape your destiny you can learn how to manifest your greatest desires.</p>
<p>Practice utilizing some of the techniques and teachings I have presented in this article and you will get a better understanding of the Law of Attraction and start to reprogram the way you perceive the universe to change your life forever!</p>
<h3><strong>Change your perception of the world</strong></h3>
<p>One thing that I have come to realize throughout my life is that no two people see the same color red. That is, everyone has a different perception of the world and sees the universe and everything in it through a different lens.</p>
<p>Someone who has just lost their job, their home or a long love relationship for that matter, may view the universe as an unfair, hard and tough place to live in. A wealthy person, on the other hand, may view the universe as a wonderful place that is full of luxury, pleasure and endless opportunities. Both of these people are living in the exact same world, it is just that their perceptions of it are different. These perceptions are what make their experiences different.</p>
<p>The example points to a fundamental key to understanding how to manifest your desires: know that how you perceive the universe is how it is actually going to be for you. Remember, as the great Earl Nightingale discovered, “we become what we think about”, and the same is true for what you think of the world you live in.</p>
<p>If you look at the world and think it is a place full of sorrow, hate and poverty then that is the reality that you will create for yourself. If you look at it as a place that is full of love, happiness, peace, joy, prosperity and abundance then that is what it will be for you. The choice to create the world in which you live in is clearly up to you. Start viewing the world as a place full of love, happiness, joy, prosperity and abundance.</p>
<h3><strong>Practice being fearless</strong></h3>
<p>Stop and think for a second about how many times you have feared that something bad was going to happen and then it actually did. For example, you might have been thinking that you were going to be late for work. With this is mind, you decided to leave a little early, still feeling a fear that you were going to be late. The next thing you know, you are stuck in traffic because of an accident up ahead and low and behold you are late for work.</p>
<p>I have done this many times, constantly ruminating that I was going to get stuck behind someone driving slow and sure enough it would happen. Someone would pull out in front of me and decide to drive 10 miles per hour under the speed limit with no passing lines in sight.</p>
<p>Are these events a mere coincidence or did we actually create them? I truly believe that we are always creating our reality by what we focus on and give attention to.</p>
<p>In your quest for mastering how to manifest your desires, practice the art of being fearless. Know deep in your heart that the best possible outcome is always going happen. Fear is an emotion that will suck the life out of you and the chances of manifesting your desires. When you are fearless, your manifestations will easily come to fruition. Start replacing those negative fear emotions with that of faith.</p>
<h3><strong>Supercharge your positive emotions</strong></h3>
<p>Compare the number of times particular negative events you have dwelt upon that have happened to the amount of times you have actually anticipated something good to happen and then it actually did. In most cases fear is the much stronger emotion, which causes the object of that fear or negative thought to manifest into your reality much more often and more quickly.</p>
<p>A key point is that you just need to conjure up that same level of emotional power you put behind fear and put it behind your positive expectations so you can just as easily manifest good things in your life. Supercharge your positive emotions with the expectation that what you desire you already have and you will be well on your way to manifesting your biggest dreams.</p>
<h3><strong>Believe you can and you will, believe you can’t and you won’t</strong></h3>
<p>A major contributing factor in manifesting your desires is the degree to which you believe something true. The key word is believe. The reason you can think negative things into existence so easily is the fact that you believe so strongly that they are going to happen and sure enough they do.</p>
<p>You may believe, for instance, that you are not worthy of being wealthy and hence you seem to always be on the wrong end of the pay scale. It may be that you always seem to live above your means or maybe that there’s always an unexpected emergency that requires you to break into your savings and end up broke.</p>
<p>Remember this:  you can only learn how to manifest things you truly believe you can have. You may want to be a millionaire, but unless you truly believe you can become one, you will not even come close. It will simply be wishful thinking and nothing more than that. The key is to change the root of your core beliefs.</p>

<p>What happens when you put the Law of Attraction in action? Just imagine for a moment, that you had all the money you ever dreamed of.  Imagine how it would feel if you had wonderful relationships and absolutely perfect health. Think about how your life would be, living in a constant state of peace and joy.  When you put into practice the Law of Attraction and focus your mind intently on these things, they will become your reality.</p>
<h3>Know what you want</h3>
<p>One of the most important things to do first is to figure out exactly what it is that you want. This is probably one of the most crucial elements to manifesting. The Universe will bring to you whatever you desire so you’ve got to think big. There is no difference to the Universe in asking for $100 or $100,000. So the best thing to do is to go after your biggest dreams.  The Law of Attraction will draw them to you, whatever it may be.</p>
<p>You may be someone who doesn’t really know what you want.  Maybe you&#8217;ve been brainwashed for so long into believing that you can&#8217;t have or do something and this has brought you to accept the fact that you can’t have or do it.  It&#8217;s time to look deep within yourself and discover that you could get anything you desire through the Law of Attraction.</p>
<p>Stop at the book store and page through dream home magazines. Go to an expensive car lot and take a look around. Decide what you want.  You will surely get a great perspective on what you can actually manifest into your life.  Once you accept the fact that you can have these things in your life you will become emotionally charged about them and your positive energy will become empowered through the Law of Attraction.</p>
<h3>Affirm what you want</h3>
<p>Once you decide on what it is that you actually want, the rest is simple.  Just make an affirmation to the Universe to receive it.  Affirm it out loud, write it down on paper, and most importantly believe in it.  The secret though, is believing.</p>
<p>Think from the end result as if your desire has already happened.  Imagine that it has, and it will, through the Law of Attraction. Close your eyes and visualize it from the end result.  And don&#8217;t expect to know how it is going to happen. The Law of Attraction doesn’t work that way. This is the art of surrendering. You just need to trust that what you want to manifest is going to happen, and leave how it will happen up to the Universe.</p>
<h3>Practice gratitude</h3>
<p>Another important step you must take when implementing the Law of Attraction is to maintain a feeling of gratitude.  Being absolutely grateful for everything that you have in life is the key.  Focus on all of the great things that you have  and this in turn will help you bring about positive feelings that manifest your thoughts into things.</p>
<p>The positive feelings that you experience will then transmute into a positive vibrations, according to the Law of Attraction. By sending out this kind of positive energy, or positive vibrations, it will return to you good things that are on the exact same positive wavelength.  You can remind yourself to focus on these feelings by writing out your goals or wants on a note card and then keep it with you.  This will help you remember to feel a state of gratitude every time you read it.</p>
<h3>Be aware of your thoughts</h3>
<p>Another thing to remember when practicing the Law of Attraction is to be aware of the constant thought stream that is flowing through your mind.  Most people experience random thought processes running through their minds every day with no direction in this process. They pay little attention to   the effect that these thoughts are actually having on their reality.</p>
<p>If you understand the Law of Attraction and the impact that thoughts have on creating this reality, then it would be wise to monitor this process.  Stop for a minute and think whether your thoughts are leading you toward your goals and desires or away from them.</p>
<p>Knowing how the Law of Attraction actually works will indeed change your life.  It requires a certain state of mind to work with the Law of Attraction and make it happen, but whether or not it is hard to master is up to you.  You just need to take your time, have patience, practice, and most of all, believe in it.</p>

<p><a href="http://www.anthonybasich.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/the-road-to-achievement.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-114" title="the-road-to-achievement" src="http://www.anthonybasich.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/the-road-to-achievement-214x300.jpg" alt="the-road-to-achievement" width="214" height="300" /></a>There can be many possibilities for the translation of this wisdom from Lao Tzu but for our purpose of it&#8217;s use  for goal setting, I will state this: Every great goal, no matter how substantial or complex,  starts as a very small accomplishment; a single step on which many other steps are built upon which ultimately manifest into greatness.</p>
<p>A single step, repeated over and over again, eventually turns into a journey; that of a thousand, if not a million miles. The choice is yours in how far you go.</p>
<p>Goal setting is no different. Breaking a big goal down into several small goals will like taking small steps on a journey.</p>
<p>I am a very big advocate of goal setting and I am even more adamant about writing your goals down.  Amazing things happen when you physically put your goals down on paper and then start taking action toward their achievement. It seems as though strange things start to happen like synchronicities and  serendipitous events.</p>
<p>Lets take a look at a few examples of goals that you may set for yourself and strive to achieve.</p>
<ul>
<li>Purchase plush new home</li>
<li>Gain a big promotion at work with a hefty salary increase</li>
<li>Purchase a shiny new BMW or Mercedes or any fine automobile for that matter</li>
<li>Find the love relationship of your dreams</li>
<li>Lose a certain amount of weight and get into good physical condition</li>
<li>Quit your job and start your own business</li>
</ul>
<p>These are all great goals to have since I am also a big proponent of &#8220;Thinking BIG&#8221; and everyone has different values in life so these may all seem a little diverse in nature.  Nothing is too far fetched if you realize that setting extremely high goals and coming a bit shy will, in reality, get you much farther ahead than setting much lower goals and achieving them.</p>
<p>For the sake of example, and since I have helped countless individuals achieve goals similar to number 5 on the list, lets use that.</p>
<p>Lets say you have a weight loss goal of 50lbs. If you blindly set that goal and set off on your way to tackle that number you may be disappointed to find yourself come to a point where you become overwhelmed, lost in limbo, unmotivated and your progress comes abruptly to a halt.</p>
<p>That initial goal needs to be broken down into a systematic approach to be effective both physically and mentally. Steps need to be planned out on paper and taken to get there and each step must build upon the previous one. The big key here is to write it down!</p>
<p>Lets break this down. Here are the steps:</p>
<ol>
<li>Give yourself a realistic time limit in which to achieve this goal. If you have a deadline you will be much more motivated to be challenged to beat the clock. Our deadline here is 24 weeks.</li>
<li>If we take our 50lb goal total and divide that by the number of weeks, we get a whopping total of 2.08lbs per week that we need to lose. This is looking very manageable right now and that makes a big difference on your mental state.</li>
<li>Now we need to add a little action to the mix. What action do we need to take in order to make that 2lb weekly weight loss? You got it: exercise and proper diet. So now we need to calculate the number of days you&#8217;ll be pumping iron and hitting the pavement for some cardio. On top of this we&#8217;ll devise a smart plan of action for diet that you will be sticking to for the week.</li>
<li>Since we now know what action we need to take we need to make an action plan for each and every day. You can purchase a daily planner or you can make a simple spreadsheet on Microsoft Excel to chart the small action goals for the day and tick them off as you accomplish them. Using our weight loss as an example you can chart things such as one hour of cardio first thing in the morning, 45 minutes of weight training, drink 1 gallon of water throughout the day, eat five small meals today consisting of x amount of vegetables and x amount fish etc. You get the idea.</li>
</ol>
<p>If you focus on the small simple steps, which are your action goals, before you know it you will be miles and miles ahead. This simple approach to goal setting will get you farther ahead towards your achievements in less time than you ever expected. Give a go at it and you will be amazed!</p>

<h3><strong>Tending the Garden of Your Mind</strong></h3>

It is important then, to plant the seeds of greatness and watch them flourish into vines of positive thinking. Monitoring what you put into your mind is very important and crucial to your success and happiness in life.</p>
<p>Here are some suggestions to help you along your way:</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><em><strong>»Read motivational and inspirational self help books: </strong></em></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">This is the first and foremost helpful tool that I have utilized in my own personal transformation. Reading is so important because it is food for the mind; the seeds of greatness that will flourish and grow into an amazing and bountiful garden.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">It may be a particular book that you read that makes the difference in your life or, as in many cases, it may be a single sentence in a book that seems to jump out and inspires you to change your life forever. This has happened many times in my life and I have seen it happen in the lives of many other people as well.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">Some of the books that have changed my life in the early stages of my personal development are <strong><em>Think and Grow Rich</em> </strong>by<strong> Napoleon Hill, <em>Psycho Cybernetics</em> </strong>by<strong> Maxwell Maltz,  <em>Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude</em> </strong>by<strong> Napoleon Hill and W. Clement Stone, <em>The Richest Man in Babylon</em> </strong>by<strong> George S. Clason, <em>The Greatest Salesman in the World</em> </strong>by<strong> Og Mandino, <em>Who Moved My Cheese? </em></strong>by<strong> Spencer Johnson</strong> and many others which I will discuss in future posts.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">On a more Spiritual side and more related to the <strong>Law of Attraction</strong> I have been inspired by the writings of <strong>Neville Goddard. </strong>Some of his great works include<strong> <em>The Power of Awareness, Feeling is the Secret, Your Faith is Your Fortune, Law and the Promise, Resurrection, and Prayer: The Art of Believing</em></strong>. Neville&#8217;s works are the truth and roots on the Law of Attraction made so popular through the book and movie <strong><em>The Secret</em> </strong>by <strong>Rhonda Byrne. </strong></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><strong><em>»Listen to motivational and inspirational self help audio books on CD and MP3:</em></strong></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><strong><em> </em></strong>Many great success coaches such as Zig Ziglar and Jim Rohn utilize the term &#8220;Auto University&#8221; and do so for a good reason. Your own automobile or commute via bus or subway can be the place where you learn more fulfilling and useful lessons than in your formal education.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">Aside from a dynamic learning experience, it can also be a place where you cultivate an amazing and uplifting positive shift in your mental state. I personally benefit from this practice every day of my life and cannot overemphasize the importance of it. Listening to positive self help audio programs on your daily commute can be an uplifting and inspiring experience for anyone and put you in that state of mind to conquer your day.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">Audio programs are not limited to be listened to on your daily commute though. That is just one effective way to utilize these valuable tools. Listening to your audio can be done at any time of the day whether working, relaxing or exercising, which is another one of my favorite times to get motivated and set my mind in a positive state. I love to listen while pumping iron at the gym and even better yet, while power walking outdoors at the park. This is a form of meditation for me and a 60 minute walk while listening to an uplifting audio program on my iPod really helps me to absorb the information and experience it in a compelling way.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">Two of the most influential audio programs that I listen to which <em>really</em> have a positive impact on me are <strong><em>The Strangest Secret</em> and <em>Lead the Field </em></strong>by <strong>Earl Nightingale.</strong> There is so much wisdom and enlightenment in these two programs and practical lessons that anyone can benefit from. Earl Nightingale is a dynamic speaker and has a unique way of articulating his message that seems to captivate my full attention and that really drives the message home. I am always left with a change in my mental state for the better after listening to one of his Cd&#8217;s, especially <strong><em>Lead the Field</em></strong>.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">Next to Earl Nightingale I am always captivated by the powerful diction of <strong>Anthony Robbins </strong>and  <strong>Zig Ziglar</strong>. If you really want a shift in your mental state then  listen to <em><strong>Goals</strong></em> and also <em><strong>How to Get What You Want by Zig Ziglar.</strong></em> These two pieces are filled with stories that motivate and inspire you to reach new levels.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><em><strong>»Watch motivational and inspirational movies:</strong></em></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">I remember vividly a time back in 1997 when I first watched the movie<em><strong>&#8220;</strong>Rudy<strong>&#8220;. </strong></em>This was such an awe inspiring movie which depicted the life of Daniel &#8220;Rudy&#8221; Ruettiger and his quest to achieve his goal of playing football for the University of Notre Dame. Rudy represents a true warrior, overcoming many obstacles along his journey and modeling what is the epitome of perseverance.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">Through an unstoppable will, Rudy does succeed in his quest, playing in the the final game of the season against Georgia Tech on November 8, 1975.  He made history, becoming the only player to be carried off the field at Notre Dame. Through all the adversity that he faced, he never quit, and that is one of the most important keys to goal achievement.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">This movie truly inspired me to persevere through tough times and obsticles in my life and I can&#8217;t count the times I have watched this movie for motivation. It teaches us perseverance and perseverance is one of the most important qualities successful people demonstrate and that is for a good reason. If you simply give up when the going gets tough you will never ever have the opportunity to arrive at your goal.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">This movie is just one of the many great examples of setting a clearly defined goal and sticking to it no matter what seems to stand in your way. This is also just one of the many movies you can watch to get you into the state of a positive mental attitude and truly inspire you to reach greater heights. I recommend watching whatever seems to motivate you and change your state of mind to a positive one. Some of my favorites that have truly inspired me over the years are Conversations With God, Iron Will, Pay It Forward, and of course the Rocky series.</p>

<h3><strong>What You Sow Is What You Reap</strong></h3>
<p><a href="http://www.anthonybasich.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/pure-bliss.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-119" title="pure-bliss" src="http://www.anthonybasich.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/pure-bliss-300x217.jpg" alt="pure-bliss" width="300" height="217" /></a>I often wonder why more people don&#8217;t choose to think about the bright side of things more often. If what you sow is what you reap then wouldn&#8217;t it seem quite obvious that dwelling on the good that could happen in a life far outweighs the thought of dwelling on the negative?</p>
<p>If you sow good thoughts you can only reap good results; just as a farmer who tends his crop with love and devotion will reap a bountiful harvest.  The results may not come in a way that you expected but the end result will always be the same; one that you benefit from. So many people get it all wrong though and the minute things don&#8217;t seem to be going their way they give up on positive thinking and sure enough everything heads south and then you hear &#8221; I told you so&#8221;.</p>
<p>It all starts in the mind with your mental attitude. <strong>Attitude</strong> in fact, <strong>is everything!</strong></p>
<p>The wise farmer surveys his land at the beginning of the season with a vision of abundance before him. He sees what is to come before him in the seasons ahead; it&#8217;s his vision that matters, not the barren land that is before him at that moment. The greatest lesson in the <strong>Law of Attraction</strong> is that <strong><em>thoughts become things</em></strong>. So it is safe to say that<strong><em> positive thoughts become positive things</em></strong> and negative thoughts become negative things.</p>
<p>Now do you see how important a positive mental attitude is? A positive attitude goes a whole heck of a lot farther than a negative one, and that&#8217;s without saying what could possibly happen when you choose this state of mind as one that dominates your thoughts throughout each and every day.</p>
<h3><strong>Dwell on the Positive</strong></h3>
<p>It&#8217;s just as simple to dwell on positive thoughts as it is to dwell on the negative ones. Notice how I stated <em>simple</em> and not <em>easy</em>; there is a difference. Simple means that it doesn&#8217;t take the brain of Christopher Langan to figure it out. Dwelling on the positive is not that easy though, meaning that it is going to take some <em><strong>effort</strong></em>.  This is something that is going to take some work and you are going to have to take the time and be consciously aware of it.</p>
<p>This state of awareness is what is known in <strong>Zen</strong> as <strong>Mindfulness</strong>. It is a state of always being aware of basically everything that exist in the moment. So we can learn a lesson from Zen here and always be consciously aware of the thoughts that go on inside our heads. To consciously be aware of our thoughts is to be in control of what is going on inside our minds.</p>
<p>When we are aware of what is going inside of us we can choose what to think and in this case it&#8217;s positive thoughts. Be aware at all times of the types of things that are going on inside of your head and you will be heading in the right direction. Choose to dwell on the bright side of things. Think about what good can come out of a situation no matter what the case may be. Within every adversity there is the seed of a greater benefit. This is the absolute truth and I have personally experienced this throughout my life time and time again.</p>
<p>I can remember many situations in my life where I was faced with hardships and defeat but there was always a greater benefit that came out of it. It was only revealed to me after the fact and I then realized what had actually taken place. So now it makes sence to dwell on the positive of any situation and to see some greater benefit within. Expect the best and get it. May the wind will be at your back and the sun in your face.</p>

<h3><strong>Your State of Mind Is Your Choice</strong></h3>
<p><strong></strong>Each and every one of you has the unique ability to establish your very own state of mind. In other words, you have the innate ability to choose your very own unique mental attitude. Whether or not you decide to cultivate an attitude that is positive or negative is totally up to you. Talk about total freedom! The power to make changes in your reality including, but not limited to, your surroundings, lifestyle, employment, friends, health, and just about anything else in your personal world is well within your control. It&#8217;s all your choice.</p>
<h3><strong>A Vast Storehouse of Information</strong></h3>
<p>Just like the hard drive on your computer, your mind, in particular your subconscious mind,  is a vast storehouse of information. Your subconscious literally assimilates everything that it is exposed to. It can be better compared to a tape recorder, recording every event and incident that occurs. So as a result you have, in essence, produced a cultivation within your mind.</p>
<p>This cultivation could then be compared to a field of crop that a farmer tends. So in essence you are similar in intent to a farmer cultivating the land to produce a field of crop. If you tend to your mind, filling it with healthy &#8220;food for thought&#8221; then you will reap a bountiful healthy harvest. If, on the other hand, you do not tend to your mind and filter out the negative then your harvest will surely suffer. It will be like the farmer&#8217;s crop that has been overtaken with weeds, insects and has been deprived of healthy nutrient rich fertilizer, proper hydration and bountiful sunlight.</p>
<h3><strong>Garbage In Garbage Out</strong></h3>
<p>Many people feel as if they have no absolute control over their mental state, and because of this their mind has been sown with the seeds of negativity. As we see in the Law of Attraction, what you sow is what you reap. In another example and even better yet, referring back to computers, garbage in garbage out. If you are constantly dwelling on the negative side of things or you are focusing on the bad things that could possibly happen then that is what will manifest in your world. So this negative state of mind that a lot of people experience is the direct result of their negative way of thinking combined with the Law of Attraction. All of this will equate to a very negative mental attitude.</p>

<p><a href="http://www.anthonybasich.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/istock_000006469629xsmall.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-47" title="Begin your new life today!" src="http://www.anthonybasich.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/istock_000006469629xsmall.jpg" alt="Begin your new life today!" width="297" height="198" /></a>When I read this quote by Eliot, I find it very fascinating and motivating as it delineates a clear vision in my mind of myself as the person I have always dreamed to be. As I continue to focus on this vision, I feel myself smiling as it conjures up intense feelings of accomplishment, achievement and sheer happiness having ultimately overcome obstacles and having pressed onward to victory in all of my Life’s endeavors. I see myself easily catapulting from all setbacks and extinguishing all fears that have been blocking my path to opening that door to a new chapter in Life that awaits ahead. I feel the exhilaration of standing on top of the world and being absolutely unstoppable and fearless. I also get the intense feeling that there is ultimately still hope; a chance to become something bigger and better than I am now, aspiring to the greatest heights of my imagination and beyond. As this vision finally starts to slowly fade, I ponder as to why so many of us don’t take that plunge into the big ocean of uncharted territories and explore the infinite puzzles of possibilities that can come to fruition.</p>
<p>I think we would all find our efforts worthwhile in that they would ultimately bring us to even greater heights than we could have ever imagined. For those of us that invoke the courage to take on the challenge with the utmost resolve, we and only we will reap the rewards that exist beyond the safety of the shores most of us cling to and will also find a world where our hopes and dreams seem to come alive and take on forms that we never even knew existed.</p>
<p>The challenge to all of us though is being fearless and taking that initial plunge. That word fear is what truly hinders all of us from living that life that we have always dreamed of; or in the words of Eliot “what you might have been”. Fear is ultimately the brick wall that holds us all back from making that leap into that great ocean of the infinite. The opportunities that are available to each and every one of us are endless.</p>
<p>My point of this all is that it is never too late to start. PERIOD. So crank up the inspiration and drown out pesky fearful voice in your head and just do it. Go ahead and do something new, something that you have always wanted to do but never had the courage to start. For me it&#8217;s writing. For you it may be quitting your job and starting that career you always dreamed of. I did that many years ago and have never looked back ever since because it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. It may be leaving that lousy relationship that you are clinging to because you are afraid of being alone but believe me, there are bigger and better things out there. It may even be cultivating new beliefs and values in which to live your life that may challenge existing beliefs but in the end will only serve to make you a better person.</p>
<p>Just remember that there is always the opportunity to begin anew and live the life that you have always aspired to live no matter what point in life you may be. I have learned through many trials and tribulations that anyone can do anything that they put their mind to so put your mind to it and “become what you might have been”.</p>
