There’s only one way to it and that’s to do it.
You can sit around and practice a lot of H&P but that won’t get you anywhere.
What’s H&P?
Hoping and Praying.
Hoping and praying won’t take the extra weight off of your stomach.
Hoping and praying won’t get you out of debt.
Hoping and praying won’t put food on your table, clothes on your back and a roof over your head either.
Planning your work and working your plan does. It takes the ability to sit down, come up with a game plan and then take action on that plan to make things happen in your life.
Great things I might add.
I see too many people put way too much time into H&P every day and then see how much they lack the art of planning, taking action and the art of both determination and discipline.
And if your plans don’t work?
So what…
You just learned what not to do. That is a BIG accomplishment if you ask me.
The more time you learn what not to do, the closer you get to knowing what to do.
Remember, there are no mistakes, only results. Some results you want and some you don’t want. The key is to focus on the results of your actions and then make the necessary changes when you get the results you don’t want.
And if you get the results that you want?
Wash, rinse and repeat.
Now let’s talk about determination and discipline.
I know way too many people who give up way too easy.
And who am I to judge?
I used to be one of these people. That’s right, I used to quit when the going got rough instead of putting my head down and taking Life head on like a pit-bull.
Quitters never win. They just keep complaining how hard life is and making excuses on why they can’t do something.
But that’s not you. You’re better than that.
I know you are.
You have the strength of an army and the heart of a lion.
When Life seems to get a little rough you need to get going.
Find inspiration from within.
Then create a game plan and get going.
I mean really get going!
Attack Life like a pit-bull and don’t ever give up.
Quitters never win. Well, in my book they only win the best prize for biggest complainers.
Epictetus said it best when he stated: “First say to yourself what you would be; and then do what you have to do.”
There’s nothing to it but to do it!
Be Unstoppable!
Yours in Success,

so true. personally i believe that “H&P” is just being plain irresponsible. if you want something done, you got to do it yourself right? i am not against praying or anything, but just plain praying and waiting basically means nothing.thank you for a great article man!
Right on Jonel!
God helps those who help themselves… this means that you need to actually DO something. Sitting around wishing and waiting for things to happen will only lead to …more sitting around and waiting for things to happen.

Thanks for this advice! I think there is definitely a lot of truth to your words, but I really don’t think that “H&P” should be discounted entirely. That positive outlook that comes with hoping and praying is necessary to find the motivation TO “do it” so I think it’s good to find a balance between the two.

Lizzy,
Thanks for stopping by and putting your $.02 in
You make a very good point at not totally discounting H&P. Praying is a good thing as long as you put some action behind it.
Napoleon Hill once said “Faith without deeds is DEAD.”
And he is dead right about that one…
Pray for guidance and then practice true faith and take action.
Thanks for the comment! Rock on Lizzy and have an AWESOME day!

Thanks for this post! I too know way too many people who give up way too easy. But I know some who are really hard working and never giving up as well!
Perseverance is the key Piotr… You must keep pushing forward and stop at nothing!
Thanks for the comment
Stay strong!

‘ Where there is a will there is a way’ As far as we know our limits we should never give up when we experience failures. I like the point that there are no mistakes, only results, its so true that we should not stop at anything.
